Cashew Husk

Upon peeling the shelled natural kernel after the hot air chamber drying process, we get the testa or husk as it is known colloquially. HUSK(Testa) is an ideal agent for use in Tannery and for pigment.

The husk contains good pigments that give out excellent colour to the leather wear. Its chemical composition allows for better tanning of the most sought after leather wear. Testa contains tannins,of large molecular complexity and has been used as tanning agents since ancient times. The use of tannins extracted from cashew husk adds a lot of additional value to the cashew nut.
